Abdulsalam MAHMUD reports that \u201cThe Ferrand Prize for Educational Innovation in Mathematics\u201d and \u201cThe D\u2019Alembert Prize for the Dissemination of Mathematics to a Wide Audience\u201d, have been instituted by the Mathematical Society of France.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Mathematical Society of France (SMF) has instituted two prizes for distinguishing remarkable actions in the service of pedagogy and the dissemination of mathematics.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first one is: The Ferrand Prize for Educational Innovation in Mathematics.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the second one is: The D\u2019Alembert Prize for the Dissemination of Mathematics to a Wide Audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

A statement issued by SMF indicates that the two prizes are worth \u20ac2,000 each, and are awarded every two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part of the statement titled,\u00a0\u201cPrix d\u2019Alembert \u2013 Jacqueline Ferrand Prize 2022\u201d
\nCall for applications,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>reads in part:\u00a0\u201cIf you wish to highlight one of your actions (or a remarkable action by a third party), submit (or have submitted) an application\u00a0before May 15th.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>More information:\u00a0https:\/\/smf.emath.fr\/appel-candidature-2022\u2033.<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
