Please note the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The virtual ICM 2022 schedule is available via the link at the bottom of this page.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Lectures are scheduled to take place between 9:00\u201318:00\u00a0<strong>CEST\u00a0<\/strong>every day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Participation is free of charge, but registration is\u00a0required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Those who originally registered for the now cancelled ICM in Saint Petersburg\u00a0will need to register again for the virtual ICM, as registrations will not be carried over.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">We are currently working hard to develop the digital infrastructure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Further announcements will be made on this web-page once available.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">On 6 July, the 2022 Fields Medalists and IMU Abacus Medalist\u00a0will give prize winner lectures live at Aalto University (Runeberginkatu 14\u201316, Aalto T\u00f6\u00f6l\u00f6, 00100 Helsinki, Finland). Admission to the lectures will be open to all who wish to attend. The lectures will also be streamed.\u00a0<em>***Please note that\u00a0the afternoon lectures will now begin at 14:00 CEST. Please refer to the updated program schedule for more information***<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">There are also efforts within the mathematical community to organize in person and online events to complement the virtual ICM 2022. As satellite events, the IMU does not provide financial or organizational support to these activities, but we wholly commend the organizers for their efforts and are grateful for their engagement.\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:borodin@math.mit.edu\">A. Borodin<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:m.hairer@imperial.ac.uk\">M. Hairer<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:tao@math.ucla.edu\">T. Tao<\/a>\u00a0are moderators of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hairer.org\/ICMSCG\/\">ICM Satellite Coordination Group<\/a>, which is coordinating these efforts.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Prior to ICM 2022, the IMU will host its\u00a0<strong>19th General Assembly<\/strong>\u00a0in Helsinki, Finland, on 3\u20134 July 2022 at the Scandic Grand Marina\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Marina Congress Center.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">On 5 July 2022, the IMU will hold the\u00a0<strong>IMU\u00a0Award Ceremony 2022<\/strong>\u00a0as a live event at Aalto University (Runeberginkatu 14\u201316, Aalto T\u00f6\u00f6l\u00f6, 00100 Helsinki, Finland). Here the winners of the Fields Medals, IMU Abacus Medal, Chern Medal Award, Carl Friedrich Gauss Prize and Leelavati Prize will be announced, and the awards will be handed over.
