The 12th International Mathematics Tournament of The Towns Competition

On Friday 24 Jan 2014, the first round of IMH 12th Tournament of Towns will be held at Isfahan Mathematics House. Isfahan high-school students in 3-member teams can participate in this competition. Students who excel in the this stage will compete in the spring round in March 2014. The Competition was held with 543 team of boys and girls.

The second round of Tournament of Towns, the international competition on mathematics for high school students will be held on 28 Feb & 7 Mar 2014 at IMH.

The fall round of the 11th International Mathematics Tournament of The Towns Competition At Isfahan Mathematics House willbe held in December 14, 2012. Isfahan high-school students in 3-member teams can participate in this competition. Students who excel in the this stage will compete in the spring round in March 2013, in Iasfahan; and the winners of this stage will take part in the Summer (final) round in August 2013, in Russia.


The First Round of The 6th Tournament of Towns in Isfahan

On Friday Dec 21, 2007 the first round of IMH 6th Tournament of Towns was held in Isfahan. This competition was organized in 5 districts in 12 examination centers around the city.

Established in 1979, Tournament of Towns is an international mathematics problem solving competition in which all high school students around the world can participate on an equal basis. This competition is held twice a year, a spring round and a fall round. One advantage of this competition is that students can participate in their own towns.Since 2002, due to IMH educational activities, Isfahan has joined this competition as well.

This competition was organized in two groups of girls and boys with a total number of 490 teams, each team consisting of 3 members. About %20 of the participants from each district may enter the second round.

The results of this round will be announced by mid February and the second round will take place on Saturday,
March 15, 2008.
It should be noted that as a result of the efforts of the Tournament of Towns representative in Iran who is also a member of Isfahan Mathematics House, to prevent individualistic tendencies the Central Committee has agreed that students from Isfahan compete in teams.

 

On Sturday March 15, 2008, the second round of Tournament of Towns, the international competition on mathematics for high school students was held in Isfahan. Led by Isfahan Mathematics House (IMH), this contest was organized in two groupings, 65 teams of girls and 82 teams of boys, among which 4 teams from Kerman, 4 teams from Boroujen, 2 teams from Najafabad and 9 teams from Zarrin Shahr cities were taking part.
Some of the City Officials, the director of the Isfahan Office of Education (IOE), the IOE deputy director, the former IOE director and the chair of the City Council visited this contest and appreciated IMH for its goals and activities on educational and scientific achievements.

 Tournament of Town (TT) is a math problem solving contest in which all cities of the world can participate.

Students from more than 100 cities around the world, including cities from Argentina, Germany, USA, Austria, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, New Zealand, Canada, Colombia, Luxembourg, Yugoslavia, Greece, and Isfahan from Iran will participate in this competition.
